Bangli Muhammad Cartoonist only Sentenced to Two Months??

Bangladesh- Arifur Rahmah, 25, was finally found guilty of ‘hurting the religious feelings of the Muslim community by a court in southwestern Bangladesh, that’s AFP has reported.

Rahman, who published his offending cartoon depicting the Prophet Muhammad on it, was also sentenced to hard labour jail sentence and a 500-taka (7.40 dollars) fine.

The story began two years ago when Rahman’s Muhammad cartoon was published by a local newspaper, Prothom Alo.

The publishing of that offending cartoon then sparked angry and clashes in Dhaka.

Thousand of people defied a ban on protest to march against the cartoon, while forcing the newspaper’s editor to publicly apologize and sack Rahman.

The fourth-largest Muslim populous country, Bangladesh, was shocked when Rahman made a cartoon depicting a small boy suggesting that all cats should be named Muhammad.

Amongst the Muslim people, such a drawing is a big sin, and therefore Muslims demand harder punishment for Rahman so that there would be another Muhammad cartoonist no more.(AFP)

Indonesian Muslims Spark ahead of Narendra Modi’s Visit

Indonesia- Chief Minister of the State of Gujarat, Narendra Modi, has planned to make a visit to Indonesia’s South Sulawesi Province.

Ahead of the visit, a large number of Indonesian Muslims get furry as knowing the fact that Narendra Modi was the orchestrator of 2002 massacre, in which 200 Indian Muslims were killed.

Waspada Santing, Vice Chairman of South Sulawesi’s Muhammadiyah’s Empowerment Department, urged the government to reconsider its policy to establish economic cooperation with Modi.

“We wish that South Sulawesi Government and the House of Representatives would reconsider the programme (to invite Narendra Modi),” he said.

“Muslims settling in South Sulwesi Province, and all Indonesian Muslims generally, do not want his coming, knowing his crime over the killing of 2000 Muslims in Gujarat in 2002 ago,” he added.

UN’s Human Rights Commission did actually condemned the closing of the 2002 Gujarat massacre that resulted in the killing of 2000 Muslims by torture, shot to dead, burnt alive, and beating.

The killing of 2000 Gujarat Muslims broke up since 59 Hindu pilgrims passed away on a shrine being caught on fire.

After seven years went on, the Gujarat Muslims are still being haunted by a nightmare just in case another massacre comes real.(Inilah.com)

Indonesia’s Dutch-Born Singer Converts to Islam

Indonesia- It has been two months for Rebecca, an Indonesian nationality singer, to be a Muslim woman.

Talking to Indonesian media, the Dutch-born singer admitted that she ‘feels happier and more complete.’

The decision to embrace Islam came out purely from her heart, no influence from her friends, she added.

“I turned Islam purely from my heart,” she said.

“Just wish that everything would be fine. I am able to conduct Islamic prayers by myself, now,” said Rebecca who admitted of being atheist before embracing Islam.

Further Rebecca admitted that she could find tranquility within Islam.

“When my friend recites tahlil (Islamic prayers), I feel myself in trance,” she admitted.

Funeral of Luqman Ameen Abdullah Attracts Hundred Muslims

United States- “We ask to Allah to reward him with the promised reward of those who are martyred,” that’s some words coming out of a fellow Imam of Detroit-based Masjid Al-Haaq, Imam Talib Abdur-Rashid at the funeral of a wise caring person, Luqman Ameen Abdullah.

As reported by Associated Press, hundreds of people offered hushed prayers on Saturday (31/10/2009).

Luqman Ameen Abdullah, an Imam at Masjid Al-Haaq, was remembered as a ‘caring man’ who followed the tenets of Islamic teachings.

His friends remember him as a ‘generous and a good brother.’

During the 30-minute service at the funeral, men sat on the floor, shoulder to shoulder, while the women watching and listening in the back of the room at Muslim Center in Detroit.

Demand for an independent investigation of Luqman’s death was sounded by many Muslim communities as saying the fatal shooting seemed ‘excessive.’

Luqman Ameen Abdullah was blindly shot dead by the FBI terrorist on Wednesday upon charges that Luqman was the leader of ‘radical sunni’ and wanted to create an Islamic state within the US.

No matter what, all fraud charges over Luqman Ameen Abdullah are the mere conspiracy against Islam.

Allah Akbar...! More Americans Convert to Islam because of Equality, Discipline, Family

United States- Amidst the ceaseless efforts to tackle Islam by those anti-Islam groups, the number of Muslim population in the United States continues to grow unstoppably.

Amongst the so many reasons behind why Americans convert to Islam, the messages of equality, discipline, and family are apparently the main causes why the number keeps flourishing.

Sekou Jackson, who studies the Navy at the National Academy of Science in Washington, said to Taipei Times, “When someone comes to you with a message that everyone is equal, that the only difference is the deeds that they do, of course people who have been oppressed will embrace that message.

"It’s a message of fairness,” he said.

The United States alone is home for 2.35 million Muslims – based on the 2007 Pew Survey – in which 35 percent of them are black American.

It appears that black Americans find racial equality in Islam, rather than in democracy, and therefore many black Americans embrace Islam.

Black American Muslims are mostly Sunni, and worship at 300 masjids across the country.

The United States is also home for a number of Islamic organizations that are counted six million members are engaged within those organizations.
